On the box

Detection runs on a small box on your network, or on the camera itself where the camera has a usable chip. No data-centre GPU, no rack.

What leaves

Events leave the site: a time, a camera, a detection and a short clip. Continuous video stays where it was recorded unless you turn that on.

When it fails

The box keeps detecting and queues events through a network drop. A camera that stops streaming raises an alert, not silence.

Runs on

A box you can put on a shelf.
